Central Park Art Festival March 16-17

41st year in Downtown Winter Haven

The 41st Annual Central Park Art Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17 in downtown Winter Haven. The Victor Smith Law Group is presenting sponsor.

About 80 artists are expected to exhibit their work, which includes a good mix of acrylic and oil paintings, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, pottery/ceramics, glass, watercolor, drawing, photography, leather, wood, fiber baskets, wood flutes and even live orchids. There also will be a Publix Charities Artists of Tomorrow exhibit.

The Festival also features a food court, children's hands-on tent and entertainment. Saturday's performers are Coastal Acoustic Barefoot Music by Duke Burr and T. Michael Stavres from 1-2:45 p.m. and Wiley Christopher Widner from 3-5 p.m. Sunday's performers are the Grateful Alive featuring Nat Pickin West and Squire Smith from noon to 2 p.m., and open mic with Jamie Beckett, Robert Roy Rackelman, Jerry Mincey and Scott Hooker with a few more surprises from 2 p.m. until the close of the show. Carlos and Rafael Unzueta are sound engineers.

The Central Park is located off Central Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street.
