5 Events March 30 at Bok Tower Gardens

Yoga, Fair Fest, Tortoise Parade, Wine Walk & Dinner

Bok Tower Gardens is the place to be Saturday, March 30, as they host five special events.

Sounds and Yoga for Energy Balancing will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Reiki Master and Sound Healer Kristen Tenpenny will take participants on an exploration of the layers of energy inside you. Her program helps people learn to measure energy and its direction with a pendulum, how to remove blockages and get your energy flowing. Cost is $35 for Bok members and $42 for non-members. Children ages 4-12 are invited to the Hammock Hollow Fairy Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fantasy attire is encouraged. Children can earn their wings wings by joining the Hammock Hollow fairies for a special day exploring the magic of the Garden with activities including elf and fairy crowns, face painting, story time, crafts, refreshments and more. The Gardens' latest bronze sculpture will be dedicated during the "Gopher Tortoise Parade" celebration at 12:30 p.m. at Hammock Hollow. Addition of the sculpture to the gardens continues a 90-year tradition of art and culture. Following the ceremony, Geert D'hollander will present a carillon concert with special music inspired by the memory of Louise Adams. The event is free for members or those paying general admission.

The Gardens' Wine Walk also returns Saturday.

From 2-5 p.m. participants can sip and stroll through the Gardens while enjoying carefully curated wines from around the world and light nibbles at each stop.

A special after party will take place from 5-7 p.m. with live music from AcousticDose and dinner on the Terrace. Chef Matt is featuring a trio of tacos featuring Pork al pastor, Beef Barbacoa and Chicken served with Spanish Rice & Beans and Chips & Salsa for $20 per person, plus tax. Members receive a 10 percent discount.
