Lucille Wagner, 1922-2019

Lucille Wagner, 96, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, May 27 at Water's Edge in Lake Wales, where she was a resident for 9 years.

She was born October 14, 1922 in Todd, NC to the late Julius L. and Laura (Tatum) Miller. She was a resident of Boone, NC and spent the winters in Haines City before moving and making Water's Edge her home in 2010. She was a homemaker. Lucille loved her family, all her friends and staff at Water's Edge and enjoyed cooking. Her family really appreciated the care she received at Water's Edge and thru Good Shepherd Hospice.

She is preceded in death by her husband Estel Wagner and daughter Elaine Myers.

She is survived by children Jeanette Potts and husband Ted of Denton, NC, Allan Wagner and wife Judy of Boone, NC, Kitty Sweet and husband Dale of Winter Haven, FL, Brad Wagner of Greenville, SC, 9 grandchildren Bev Henretty and husband Chris of Boise, ID, Robert Myers and wife Cecila of Fairplay, SC, Ginny Potts and husband Troy of Thomasville, NC, Barbara Myers of Rutherfordton, NC, Laura Potts and husband Darrell of Thomasville, NC, Matthew Potts of Clemmons, NC, Cortney Pagano and husband Peter of San Diego, CA, Lynnsey Sweet of Durango, CO, and Casey Wagner of San Diego, CA, and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 at the Mt. Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Boone, NC and memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at Water's Edge in Lake Wales. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Care Center at 140 E. Park Avenue Lake Wales, Fl. 33853 or Good Shepherd Hospice Sebring at 1110 Hammock Road Sebring, Florida 33870.

Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is in charge of arrangements.
