Communication Builds Our Community

Library to Offer Access to Grant Funding Database

The Lake Wales Public Library is proud to announce a new service focusing on connecting individuals and non-profit organizations with foundations who provide funding opportunities, Foundation Center's the Funding Information Network and Grants to Individuals.

The database of more than 13 million grants and 140,000 grant makers is available within the Lake Wales Public Library, during regular hours of operation. You are encouraged to bring your own device, use our computer lab, or check out one of our laptops to research funding opportunities.

The Foundation Center has a publicly available website, Grantspace. Grantspace.org is a learning community that helps non-profits worldwide become more viable grant applicants. It doesn't allow access to the grants or grant makers profiles, but it does have wonderful information.

The Lake Wales Public Library is the only library in Polk County to offer this resource. Everyone is encouraged to utilize it.

We are able to provide this valuable service due to the generosity of the Lake Wales Library Association and their Dell Bullard Trust.

Training opportunities will be scheduled in 2020. For information call, 678-.4004 or email [email protected].

Tina Peak is Director of the Lake Wales Public Library.
