Revamped Camp Mack Offers Lots of Fun

Yes, there is Dancing

If you are looking for something fun to do on a Friday or Saturday night in Lake Wales, head out east of town on U.S. Highway 60, take a left on Boy Scout Road then a right on Camp Mack Road. You will drive right to Guy Harvey's Camp Mack's River Resort at 14900 Camp Mack Road, northeast of Lake Wales.

The old Liar's Lair bar has been masterfully remodeled into Gator Mack's - a full liquor bar with pool tables, dart boards, and a great jukebox. The smoke-free Gator Mack's boasts a bandstand and great place to dance. Local bands from all genres play on the stage each weekend. You can even try out your vocal cords at the new Open Mic night each Wednesday evening.

With the weather cool and the nights long, Guy Harvey's Camp Mack Resort has welcomed back its concert series on the Riverfront Stage one Saturday night each month through May. Local bands such as Josh Blevins Band and the Red Hot Roosters have taken the stage with hundreds coming out to watch and dance, of course.

Take a stroll under the old oak canopy to the country store, serving customers for over 80 years. Take a selfie with the 13-plus-foot stuffed alligator that keeps a watchful eye over guests. For the outdoor enthusiast, enjoy over 20 miles of hiking and equestrian trails at the adjacent Lake Kissimmee State Park, or take an exhilarating air boat tour of the lakes with Alligator Cove Nature Tours, departing right from the docks at Camp Mack. The resort hosts many bass fishing tournaments and other outdoor events and has an onsite hotel, cabins, RV parking

Now part of he Guy Harvey family of resorts, Camp Mack is a great local place for entertainment.
