Superheroes to Take Over Half of Eagle Ridge Movie Screens April 25

Eagle Ridge Mall Regal Cinemas in Lake Wales will devote half of its 12 movie screens Thursday night, April 25 to the nationwide rollout of the superhero fantasy sci-fi thriller Avengers: End Game. But unlike some theaters that plan to run the movie into the wee hours and overnight, Regal will send moviegoers home before midnight.
Pre-sales nationwide hit more than $120 million by Tuesday with industry experts predicting $300 million in sales for the first four days. According to theater ticket seller Fandango, presales are already five times the first week for the 2018 Avengers: Infinity War.
Regal at Eagle Ridge will devote one screen starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to the 3D version of the three-hour movie. The 2D action adventure will run at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Tickets are being pre-sold and no passes will be honored. The movie is rated PG13. For those who don't mind waiting a day or two, Regal at Eagle Ridge on Friday and Saturday will show the 3D version of Avengers: End Game at 11:15 a.m., 3:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The 2D version will show at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 3 p.m. 3:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The Cinepolis IMAX in Davenport will have longer hours and more options for the opening Thursday, with the IMAX version at 10 p.m. and 1:50 a.m., IMAX 3D at 7 p.m., 3D at 6:40 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and standard showings at 8 p.m., 8:45 p.m., 10:40 p.m., 11:30 p.m., 11:50 p.m., and into Friday morning at 12:30 a.m., 1 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. Cinepolis tickets, including some reserved seating, range from $9.90 to $17.39 and can be purchased online at https://www.fandango.com/cinepolis-polk-county-imax-aaxod/theater-page
