Find Bargains Nov. 2 Along 39-Mile Yard Sale

Sellers and buyers alike have a special opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Ridge Scenic Highway Scenic corridor Saturday, Nov. 2 while hunting for bargains along the 39-Mile Scenic Highway Yard Sale. The Lake Wales History Museum at 325 S. Scenic Highway is one of seven official locations, hosting 30 booths along with music and food.

Tables will line the Scenic Highway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Other official locations are the Lake of the Hills Community Clubhouse, Krewe of Mother Cluckers at the Coop in Babson Park, Wall Street in Downtown Frostproof, St. Ann Church in Haines City, Lake Hamilton Town Hall and United Methodist Church in Dundee.

The Scenic Highway extends 38.7-miles along the Lake Wales Ridge, from its intersection with U.S. 27 south of Frostproof to its intersection with US 17/92 in Haines City. The Scenic Highway corridor travels through the historic communities of Frostproof, Hillcrest Heights, Babson Park, the Village of Highland Park, Lake Wales, Lake of the Hills, Dundee, Lake Hamilton and Haines City.

This scenic corridor introduces travelers to historic communities and rural agricultural Central Florida. SR 17, or Scenic Highway as it is locally known, serves the historic centers of these communities and provides access to cultural facilities and historic sites that help promote and preserve the local culture. Winding along the Lake Wales Ridge, SR 17 provides scenic vistas and access to lakes, natural areas, citrus agricultural fields and unique Florida attractions.
