Carolyn "Carol" Peck (Tullius/Cook), 1936-2019

On November 20, 2019, Carol passed peacefully away surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born Dec. 26, 1936.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Peck, her daughters, Toni Hill (Chuck), Sandra Tullius (Lisa) and Vicki Vogt (Michael), stepchildren, Robert Peck (Wendy), Kim, Jody and Sherri, her grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also has many nieces and nephews and a great many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis Edward and Martha Cook and her sister, Nancy Wagenhauser (Wilson/Cook).

Whether you knew her as "Cookie," "Mrs. T," "Grandma," "Carol," Auntie Carolyn," or "Mom" you knew a woman that was loved by all she touched. She shared her infectiously beautiful smile (that always had a hint of mischief in it) with us all and her grandchildren remember she always had an abundance of "smooches" to go around.

Carol is a native of Rochester and as a graduate of Charlotte H.S. she proudly returned to her class reunions year after year even after transitioning to life in Florida. She spent many years of her life in Honeoye Falls raising her family, being a Girl Scout leader, AFS parent and sponsor, playing softball and being a part of the "Monroe Street Gang" of neighbors and friends that she loved so much.

Carol was special in that she kept in touch with those who knew her through the years going back to her elementary school days. Her move to Indian Lake Estates, FL, did not diminish that nor her making friendships there that she cherished to her dying day.

It is hard to say in a few paragraphs what makes her so special- her "Grandma Carol" boxes at Christmas, the cards she sent for every child's special day with a $2 bill enclosed, her love of the beach, movies, reading, her Snow White collection, her pride at every child's achievement, her walls adorned with picture upon picture of those she loved, her love and joy for her family or just simply that she loved life and wanted those around her and all who knew her to do the same.

As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she wanted for her daughters and their children to learn the pride of family, to know that she considered each of us special and that she believed in us each and every day. She taught us to be strong, independent, and to have the courage to go out into the world and take whatever comes with determination and a smile. Her body on this earth failed her finally, but her spirit is one that will live on in her family and friends until they too pass from this earth. She is resting peacefully amid those that have gone before, hopefully with a book in one hand and a pina colada in the other. We love you, Mom.

Carol's wish was that there be no service in her memory but if folks wished to make a donation in her honor that it be directed to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or @Kidneyfund.org with all of our thanks.

Her final resting place is yet to be determined but thanks to the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales, FL for their care.
