Central Florida's Visitor Information Center (CFVIC) will host the "Caturday Kitten Cuddle" and adoption event on Saturday, Jan. 30, to benefit SPCA Florida.

This family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Visitors can enjoy five minutes of kitten cuddling time for a $5 donation and all proceeds go to SPCA Florida. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

Vendors will be on-site selling items such as homemade pet treats, leashes, collars and grooming services, and the kittens will be available for adoption when the event ends at 1 p.m.

Safety measures will be in place to promote social distancing and proper hygiene, and face coverings are encouraged. Visitors are asked to leave their own pets at home, as animals (other than the kittens brought by SPCA Florida, or service animals) will not be permitted to attend.

CFVIC offers vacation planning ideas for residents and their visiting family and friends, a seasonal Farmers Market on Thursdays, a Florida souvenir gift shop and the availability of discounted attraction tickets for many Central Florida attractions including Legoland Florida Resort, Bok Tower Gardens and most Orlando area attractions. For more information, or to be a vendor, call (863) 420-2586.

CFVIC is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week (excluding major holidays), and is located at 101 Adventure Court, Davenport, FL 33837 (along U.S. Highway 27), a half-mile south of I-4 at Exit 55.
