Ollie Mae Baker, 1935-2021

Ollie Mae Baker, 86, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born January 30, 1935 in Lincoln, AL and has been a resident of Polk County for 63 years. Ollie was a retired depalletizer for Procter and Gamble and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, watching the Lawrence Welk show, and being the boss of her house.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Trueman “Bill” Baker in 2008; daughter, Karen Davis in 2018; father, Leonard Jones; mother, Billie Jones; and sister, Sara Farmer. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Baker of Lake Wales, Kimberly Baker of Lake Wales; sisters, Shelby Golden of Winter Haven, and Polly Swindell of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia; brother, Kenneth Jones of Auburndale; grandchildren, Felicia Garcia and husband Eric, Regina Davis, and Mandy Davis; great-grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Herndon.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 23 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
