Alexander "Sandy" Rybinski, 1941-2021

Sandy Rybinski of Frostproof passed away Friday December 17, 2021 at AdventHealth of

Lake Wales.. He was born August 15,1941 in Blue Island, IL to the late Edmond and Angeline

Rybinski.

He moved to Frostproof in 1966 with his newborn son and wife Pamela to open and operate

Sandy's Marrket, which he purchased from his godmother Mildred Zale. In the following

decades, Sandy and Pam operated many businesses in Frostproof, most notable was the Rio

Grande Bar, which entertained and served the community for 25 years.

Sandy coached Little League football, sponsored youth teams and consistently supported his

sons and their friends in sports activities and musical performances. He enjoyed flying, scuba

diving, boating and water skiing with his friends and family. Sandy received his private pilot's

license at the age of 15, and his commercial license a few years later. He shared his joy of

flying with his family and friends during trips covering the state of Florida. He also shared his

passion for traveling and history each summer on road trips all over the United States. A

committed father, his children and grandchildren wanted for nothing.

He leaves a loving family, many friends, and a legacy of generosity to the community of

Frostproof. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pamela Rybinski, sons Leonard, Alexander

and Jason and wife Gloria of Frostproof. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild

A celebration of life will be held on January 29th 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic

Church 644 South 9th St. Lake Wales, FL.
