Lake Wales Car Show Celebrates 13th Year Saturday

Antiques and Classics Event Marks Date With Prizes, Commemorative Shirts, More

Ideal weather and a special anniversary celebration will make this weekend's Lake Wales Car Show an extra draw. The monthly show of antiques, classics and hot rods of all sorts and descriptions is celebrating 13 years of shows.

Each month scores of cars line Stuart Avenue for the fourth Saturday Lake Wales Car Show.

Local show organizer Larry Bossarte is eager to present the prizes and awe the fans with the colorful array of restored and maintained vehicles representing the transportation past of the 20th Century.

The show takes place this Saturday, January 28th, on East Stuart Avenue between First Street and North Scenic Highway, beginning at 4 pm, and running until dark, about 7:00 pm.

There is no entry fee for those wishing to show off their classic show car, truck, or custom late model car. The event is also free for spectators.

Special Anniversary Dash Plaques will be given to the first 75 vehicle entries, and special 13th Anniversary T-Shirts will be available for sale. Those shirts will also be given away throughout the evening as additional Door Prizes. M usic for the evening will be provided by a DJ, provided by Central Florida Street Rod Association. A 50/50 drawing, lots of Door Prizes, and the opportunity to enjoy downtown restaurants add to the ambiance of the show.
