Five-Year Transportation Plans Subject of Public Hearing

Public Invited to Review, Comment on Priorities List

A public hearing to present plans for the next five years of work by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One, has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 18.

The "Draft Tentative Work Program" lists transportation system improvements scheduled for fiscal years 2024/25 through 2028/29. There are three ways to participate in the hearing.

FDOT District One will conduct -n-person and virtual presentations at its Bartow office at 801 N. Broadway Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm, or citizens may attend virtually by logging on to registration website at

FDOT representatives will also be available Monday, October 16, through Friday October 20, during business hours at the District Offices to review project materials with members of the public by appointment.

Self-guided online (ePublic Hearings) are available at and Web pages can be accessed from a computer, tablet or mobile device with Internet service. Each of the local public library systems within the FDOT District One territory provides access to computers and Internet service.

The ePublic Hearing will be open and available from Monday, October 16, through Friday, October 20, 2023.

FDOT will accept comments from all interested parties if received by Friday, October 20, 2023. Comments may be mailed to L.K.
