Leaping Pancakes!

Kiwanis Breakfast Feb. 29

Leap Over on Leap Day to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, February 29 for the Lake Wales Kiwanis Club's all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes and sausage from 7 to 10 a.m.

As part of the pancake festival activities, there will be other events running simultaneously with the pancake breakfast; a 20-family garage sale, silent auction, gift certificate sale, fresh fruit sale and plant sale.

At 10 a.m. a pancake speed eating contest will be held. Immediately after (eta 10:03...haha), a live auction will be held for golf opportunities, weekend trips, an airboat ride, pool and pond parachute skimmers, autographed items, admissions to zoos, comedy clubs, theaters, museums, theme parks, and meals at area restaurants. Also available are massages, electronic equipment, designer sunglasses, hand-made items, sporting event passes, sports lessons, car maintenance certificates, hair cuts, art, toys, office supplies and equipment, yard supplies, tropical plants, furniture... The list goes on and on!

Breakfast is sponsored by IHOP. The Auction Sponsor is Century 21 (Kenneth and Ruthy Welch) and the Gift Certificate Table Auction Sponsor is Rignanese & Associates http://www.RignaneseLaw.com.

Each adult present at the Auction gets one no-purchase-necessary opportunity to win the cash prizes and other door prizes; each item purchased at the Kash-n-Karry Gift Certificates Tables from 7-10 a.m. and the Auction at 10 a.m. entitles you to an extra chance to win; you must be present to win.

Pancake tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door.
