Carmen Gloria Torres-Carrion, 69, of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 at Winter Haven Hospital.
She was born November 8, 1950 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Louis and Carmen Carrion; she came here from New York 12 years ago. Carmen was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She loved her family and throwing parties, and enjoyed music and cooking.
Carmen was preceded in death by her sisters, Aida Otero an Elba Otero. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mariano Torres; daughter, Yolanda Alvarez of New York; sons, Victor Alvarez of Lake Placid, and Eric Torres of Poinciana; sisters, Carmen Cucuta of New York, Rachel Roche of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sandy Otero of New York; brother, Louis Carrion of Puerto Rico; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Father David Vargas officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
