Tony White. 1945-2021

Tony White- Beloved husband, father, brother and papa, embarked upon his last adventure as he passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 10, 2021.

Tony loved a great adventure and looked forward to setting out to blaze new trails! His first adventure was at 9 months old when he voyaged upon the Queen Mary to the United States. He was born on July 13, 1945, in London, England. From there, Tony and his family found themselves in the sunshine state and settle in beautiful Bartow, Florida. Most of his life Tony was a resident of Bartow, where he raised his family and attended many spirit filled churches. At the height of the Vietnam War, Uncle Sam called, and Tony answered. He honorably served his country in Vietnam aboard a battleship as a mechanic and made some lifelong friends that he still spoke with up until he passed. He was an avid fishing enthusiast and loved to spend his days down in Englewood catching snook and redfish or on his pontoon boat out on Lake Kissimmee slaying bass and spec. He had a passion for working on anything that went fast and restored numerous cars in his paint and body shop. One of his greatest pleasures was music. He loved old time rock n roll! You know, the kind of music that soothes the soul? He was also one of the most driven and hard-working men this world has ever known. He dedicated his entire professional life to the Phosphate Industry and retired after 40 ½ years of faithful service to US Agrichem where he was a Maintenance Supervisor. By far, the thing in this world that he loved and enjoyed the most was his family. His greatest treasure in this life was spending time with his wife, sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded by some members of his family, who were happy to meet him on Friday at the gates of Heaven. His father and mother; Willie B & Elsie White, his sons; Billy White and Ronnie Riley, and his 2 canine daughters; Missy and Zoey. He leaves behind a multitude of loved ones to carry on his legacy. His beloved wife of 36 years; Debora White of Lake Wales, FL. His 2 sons; Richie (Maryanne) White of Bartow, FL, and Buddy (Meghan) Pilkenton of Claremore, OK. His grandchildren; Wayne (Jessica) White of Bartow, FL, Matthew (Ashley) White of Lakeland, FL, Joseph White of Lakeland, FL, William White of Bartow, FL, Erika (Andrew) Spaulding of Bartow, FL, Justin (Christina) Gray of Bartow, FL Montana Pilkenton of Claremore, OK and Lauren Pilkenton of Claremore, OK. His only brother: Pastor David (Debbie) White of Lakeland, FL. Along with 12 great grandchildren of whom he cherished greatly. Services will be held for Tony's home-going on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 5pm to 7pm at Turning Point Worship Center 1400 E. Georgia Street Bartow, FL 33830.
