Four city elementary schools will play friendly games of football during the annual "Elementary Turkey Bowl" on Tuesday, November 15.

Student athletes from four local elementary schools will meet on the gridiron in an afternoon ideal for family fun. Students from Janie Howard Wilson, Hillcrest, Polk Avenue, and Babson Park elementary schools look forward to the highlight of both the autumn of the school calendars and the spring of their football careers.

The annual "Elementary Turkey Bowl" takes place on Tuesday, November 15, beginning at 10:00 am. on the storied grounds of Legion Field in Lake Wales.

Following the presentation of colors and cheer routines from each school, parents, students and guests will enjoy a series of four 20-minute matches between the schools.

The Babson Park Gnats will meet the Polk Avenue Elementary Cardinals at 11:10 in the first game, with Hillcrest Hawks then taking on the Janie Howard Wilson Silver Streaks at 11:40.

After a short rest, the Streaks will then face the Cardinals at 12:10. Hillcrest and Babson Park will then meet in the finale, scheduled for 12:40.

Admission to the event is $2 for non-school personnel. Hosts are happy to report that the Legion Field concession stand will be open during the games.

Legion Field is located on North Lakeshore Boulevard at North Wales Drive.
