Communication Builds Our Community

Andrea Garwood Littleton, 1952-2022

Andrea Garwood Littleton of Lake Wales, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022 with her children and husband by her side at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.

She was born on April 12, 1952 in Newton, Massachusetts to the late E Peter and Shirley Garwood and was raised in Saginaw, Michigan. They raised their three sons in the Boston area and the family later relocated to Wilmington Delaware, and eventually retiring to Lake Wales ten years ago.

Andrea was a dedicated mother to her sons and cherished her role as a grandmother to her six grandchildren who lovingly called her "Gigi"; she treasured every moment with them. Having moved many times throughout her life, she made friends easily and was an incredible listener. She loved playing games with her friends – bridge, dominoes, croquet, and mahjong in particular. She was passionate about the theater, singing in the church choir, and performing puppet shows for her grandchildren.

She gave back to every community in which she lived, serving as the President of the Junior League of Boston, working as the Director of Volunteer Services for the A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, and becoming the President of the Mountain Lake Community Service (MLCS) in Florida.

Andrea is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Peter Littleton; her sons, Peter Littleton, Jr. (Heather), Aaron Littleton (Katie), and Tucker Littleton (Corinne); her grandchildren, Brady, McKenna, Kian, Scarlett, Tyler, and Rory; her sisters, Christine Bogino, and Cindy Divley; and her brother, Peter Garwood.

Andrea loved her family, friends, and community. She will always be in our hearts and memories.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales, Florida.
