Polk County Seeking Non-Profit Partners to Address Indigent Health Care

Program Offering $15 Million in Grants to Providers

Polk County's Indigent Health Care program has issued a Request For Applications (RFA) to healthcare-related, non-profit organizations who are interested in receiving Community Partner Grant funding to provide healthcare services to qualified Polk County residents.

Applicants who submit an RFA must be able to provide direct healthcare services or coordinate the delivery of those services to county residents with incomes of up to 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. This RFA is focused on helping residents who are unable to obtain sufficient third-party insurance or qualify for other state or federal programs to cover their Medical needs.

Through this funding opportunity, IHC is making approximately $15 million available. Applicants are encouraged to consider innovative projects that will modify, enhance and expand healthcare services to underserved communities and populations. Additionally, organizations with a demonstrated financial match will receive extra consideration.

The Letter of Intent and RFA Registration form is available on the website and must be completed and returned by August 16. There is a mandatory webinar for applicants at 2 p.m. on August 17, 2023.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on September 15, 2023.

Applicants can contact Terri Saltzman at 863-519-2039 or [email protected] to ask questions or for more information.
