Educator

Leah Morgan Robbins, a cherished resident of Satellite Beach, FL, passed away on February 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after bravely confronting both lung cancer and Vaccine-Induced Thrombocytic Thrombocytopenia (VITT). Born on December 27, 1969, in San Diego, CA, to Glenda and James D. Morgan, Leah's life was marked by her passion for reptiles and her dedication to education.

After graduating from Lake Wales High School in 1987, Leah pursued a degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master's degree in Environmental Education from New York University. Her career in teaching led her to Polk Avenue Elementary School before she joined Brevard Virtual School.

Leah's strength and resilience inspired all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Madeleine, Clyde, and Quade; her parents, Glenda and James; her siblings Mike (wife, Kerry), Lori, and Zack (wife, Nikki); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Leah's memory will forever be cherished by those she touched.

Leah is also survived by Rodney Spivey, the father of her three beautiful children, with whom she shared many cherished memories, and by her second husband, Rob Robbins, who remained a source of strength and support throughout her illness.

A celebration of Leah's life will be held on April 6, 2024, in Satellite Beach, FL, followed by a family gathering in July in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lake Wales Charter Schools, Polk Avenue Elementary, Brevard School Foundation (MEMO: Brevard Virtual School), or Health First Hospice in Melbourne.

Leah's light and legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a profound impact on her community and a legacy of love, courage, and grace. Though her time with us was tragically cut short, her spirit will forever guide and inspire us.
