Charles Fanz

Charles Joseph Fanz, 68, of Lake Wales passed away Nov. 9, 2019 at Advent Healthcare in Lake Wales.

He was born April 2, 1951 in Camden, NJ to the late George Henry and Claire (Bass) Fanz. He was a resident of Franklinville, NJ until 1989 when he moved to Lake Wales. He was a truck driver since the age of 16 and a Volunteer Firefighter at Janvier Fire Co. Station 43-2 for 25 years. He was a lifetime member of the Fireman's Association and was a Moose Lodge member. He enjoyed time with his family traveling, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and camping.

He is preceded in death by his son baby Fanz.

He is survived by wife of 42 years Elsa Fanz, daughters Chrissy McLemore and husband Eric of Lakeland, Cathy Elliott and husband Tim of Dundee, Sisters Claire Bohannan of Auburndale, Janice Breon and husband Roland of Sewell, NJ, brothers George Fanz and wife Pat of Millville, NJ, Robert Fanz and wife Mary of Vineland, NJ, 6 grandchildren Charlie, Matthew, Gary, Chelsea, Kyle , Makayla. Sister in laws Maria Endicott, Karolin Rapp and brother in law John Rapp. He is also survived by a very large family of over 100 nieces and nephews and his 2 dogs Bandit and Carmel.

Family will have a private service at a later date. Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is in charge of arrangements.
