The Lake Wales Public Library invites adults 18 years of age and older to participate in the READ Lake Wales 2021 Challenge. Participants must be a library card holder from the Polk County Library Cooperative.

The READ Lake Wales 2021 Challenge requires that adults complete 50 books between January 4, 2021 and December 10, 2021. Print, electronic and audio books are all accepted for entries.

Participants may request an official READ Lake Wales 2021 reading log from the Lake Wales Public Library. Reading logs may be picked up at the Lake Wales Public Library, or call the library and request that a log be mailed to you. Participants may also request a fillable book log via email. Each entry must include a brief comment, review or overview of the book.

Once 50 books are read and entered in the reading log, return the completed reading log to the Lake Wales Public Library. Entries must be on the library's reading log.

Book logs can be returned via mail or email, dropped off in the Lake Wales Public Library. Participant's name and contact information must be written on the completed LWPL log. Logs must be returned to the Lake Wales Public Library, with 50 entries no later than 4 p.m., Dec. 10, 2021 to be eligible for the prize drawings.

Books must be read or listened to between January 4, 2021 and December 10, 2021.

Books checked out from any Polk County Library Cooperative site are eligible. Titles can also be from a personal collection. Books read prior to Jan. 4, 2021 are not eligible.

A drawing will be held at 5 p.m., December 10, 2021. Several prizes will be awarded, including the grand prize of a $200 Visa Gift Card.

READ Lake Wales 2021 is made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Lake Wales Library Association and Florida's Natural Growers Foundation's support of the Lake Wales Public Library's Lifelong Learning programs.
