Bass Fishing Tournament Draws Hundreds to Camp Mack Saturday

Hundreds of bass fishers, both men and women, are expected to descend on the Lake Wales area this weekend as Camp Mack Resort hosts the Bobby Lane Cup. Some of the top names in national competition will be present for the event,

The Guy Harvey resort, located on Lake Kissimmee at 14900 Camp Mack Road will be hosting the 10th annual rendition of the tournament that draws top competitive bass stalkers from across the nation. The tournament will also see a drawing for a new Phoenix bass boat.

The Saturday tournament is fully booked, so no new registrations are possible. Fishing began Friday morning. Youth teams will launch at safe light Saturday, and the Junior Division weigh-in begins at 1:00 pm, followed by the High School Division weigh-in at 2:00 pm. The boat drawing will directly follow the last weigh-in and is projected to begin around 4:00 pm.

The public is invited to join the competitors and the five finalists for the exciting reverse drawing for the Phoenix Boat.
