Wanda Gail Ward, 1954 – 2021

Wanda Gail Ward passed away December 19, 2021 at the age of 67 in Tampa Florida. She was born Feb 5 1954. A life-long resident of Florida, she was a house wife and a long-haul truck driver for Airtec Sprayers.

Gail was born in Ozark, Alabama on February 5, 1954. Her family moved to Florida when she was very young. She went to college for business and financing and drove for Polk County school systems.

Gail was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and all around great woman. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She attended church at Grace Pointe in Winter Haven, and was Ministering at the Polk County Jail for the ladies, also known for being "The Pioneer Woman of Lake Wales."

Gail is survived by her husband James Ward, daughter Cheryl Farris, step-father Fred Griner, three adopted children and spouses, five step-children and their spouses. sister Jan Darby, brother Robert Darby, 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her mother Naomi Griner, father Robert Darby, step-mother Margie Darby and sister LaWanda Griner.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for February 5th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Grace Pointe Church, 3601 Cypress Gardens Rd., Winter Haven, Florida, 33884. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered either at the church, or at 1654 Sanford St. Lake Wales, Florida 33859
