Leoma's Landing Construction Moving Rapidly

New Subdivision Will Offer 336 Single-Family Homes on Chalet Suzanne Road

Construction is moving at a rapid pace at a new subdivision being built north of Chalet Suzanne Road.

Leoma's Landing will feature 336 single-family homes in a mix of one and two-story designs. Paved streets are already in place, along with underground utilities, but without sidewalks.

The surge in construction has come after years of pause on the part of the developers, who began to advance the project only last year after gaining preliminary approval several years ago.

Leoma's Landing lies between the existing Dinner Lake Shores and the city's Fire Station No. 2. It is across from the Chalet Estates on Lake Suzanne. Dinner Lake Shores is now completely developed. Also nearby is the Preserve, a large luxury apartment complex.

The development of the north side of the city is largely mapped out, with most large vacant parcels already bearing initial plans for development. Three new apartment developments are also featured in development plans for the area.

One new project, The Parc at Lake Wales, has recently begun clearing land for impending construction on a large tract at the southeast corner of the Waverly Road and US 27 intersection. Access to the site is from the major highway. The site will be developed in two phases totalling 480 units.

Two other planned apartment developments, Evolve at Lake Wales and the adjacent Hillpointe, are slated for land adjacent to the Serenity apartments, just east of Shoppes on the Ridge and north of Eagle Ridge Mall. Together they total 824 units.
