Charles Kiel ("Chuck") Harriman, Jr., 71, of Lake Wales, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Winter Haven, FL.

Chuck was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales, graduating from High School in 1970 and after attending college at Florida State University, he returned to serve the community with the United States Post Office for 40 years. The residents of the town will remember him as the young, tall mailman that would go the extra mile to help them, while their dogs will remember him as their best back rub ever!

Chuck's accomplishments go well beyond his community service to Lake Wales as he was a renowned motivational speaker for Narcotics Anonymous and became an inspiration and mentor to thousands around the world as "Chuck H."

Chuck loved music, poetry, old western movies, fishing and enjoyed all sports. His terrific memory for capturing statistics, names, dates, and obscure facts made for lots of fun conversations with family, friends, and co-workers. As an avid reader, he was fascinated by the Civil War Era and enjoyed visiting battle locations while traveling. He leaves a legacy of hope and recovery.

Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta ("Bobbie") Freeman Harriman; father, Charles ("Chuck") Harriman, Sr .; uncle, Thomas ("Tom") Freeman; aunts, Faye Freeman Anderson, and June Freeman Beadle. He is survived by sisters Teresa ("Tesci") Chawi and husband Souhad of Bradenton, FL and Cheryl ("Sheri") Sherman and husband Richard of Altamonte Springs, FL; uncle, Jack Hudson of Louisiana; and aunt, Cheryl Roddenberry of Clermont, FL; cousins, Roberta (Alan) Weissman, Jody (Fred) Saenz, Cindy (Anthony) Polston, Lane and Steven Roddenberry, and Alan and Jacquelyn Hudson.

A private memorial is being planned for Chuck.
