Bass are Starting to Move into Shallow Water as Temperatures Rise Again

Anglers are starting to limit out at night on Lake Wales-in=the=Water by drifting minnows under lights. Get out there and give it a try. Bass fishing has been slow with the lake being low, but they should be moving up to spawn this week.

On Lake Hatchineha, specks can be found in lily pads by marker 10. Try using a jig tipped with Bobby Garland.

On Lake Kissimmee, fisherman are finding speckled Perch on deeper grass lines early. As the day goes on try moving inside to the grass and lily pads to follow the fish. Bass are moving into the pads with the slowly-warming temperatures. Throw a Chatterbait to locate them, and then slow down with a Senko afterwards.

Come back each week and we'll offer an update based upon what's being reported. If you have tips you care to share, please email them to [email protected], or email your tips and photos directly to [email protected].
